By giving out free books google collects banking info

I tried to download free books from books.google and got this msg:

Do you even need to have credit or debit card to read free books? Obviously you do.

Another thing: I tried to install iBooks on my iPad and was prompted to verify my billing info. When I clicked "yes" I got a popup with all info about my credit card such as my name, address, card # and security code that I have never ever used on this iPad or any apple devise before -- how did they collect these data???

The only thing that I did was to pay my credit card bill from my iPad -- was it enough to collect all my credit card info?? is it even legal?

My Dirty Looks, July 2012

Dirty Looks is celebrating queer culture by hosting free screening all over the city every day in July - Dirty Looks | ON LOCATION. I was lucky to visit some of them:

Jungle Island by Jack Smith at Abrons Art Center
and
This Is Not A Dream by Gavin Butt & Ben Walters at The Kitchen (A new documentary, highlighting artists use of video as a platform for broadcast and world creation. Featuring Dickie Beau, Dara Birnbaum, Nao Bustamante, Vaginal Davis, and the Divine David.)

Totaly enjoyed the screenings (and the one that i saw before) and feel sorry i havent visited more of them.

Footage + animation + collage

Lately I grew fascinated with a new (to me) technique of combining video and graphics and creating a collage with scanned cutouts, documentary footage, internet images and drawn animation. Yesterday i spent two hours working on a super cool animation done with Adobe After Effects. The computer crashed just on time, and of course i failed to click the "save" button before the crash. However, I learned lots of functions and tricks of this new AE version -- i havent used it for 5 years.

Here is a few inspiring videos:

I am also inspired by the Control Master by Veer and Run Wrake featuring CSA images:

Yayoi Kusama's re-invention of the dots and x-mas lights

Yayoi Kusama's exhibit will open at the Witney museum on July 12, 2012.

Yayoi Kusama reinvented the very basic forms and concepts -- the dots, the colors, sticking out objects, potato, daikon, infinite space, nudeness and christmas lights. How many performances and videos can be created using the Fireflies room!

Infinite space with fireflies/xmas lights reflected in the mirrors and water:

Fireworks on July 4 2012 as seen from Hoboken

I was not sure if going to Hoboken to see fireworks on July 4 was a good idea.
Now I know it was: the crowd was ok, the view was perfect, i saw 3.5 fireworks out of 4.
Next time i will come earlier with lots of food, drinks and a blanket. And may be with a better camera...

At the end it got wild

Rampo Noir - Ranpo Jigoku (2005)

My favorite part from Rampo Noir - Ranpo Jigoku. Early morning meadow. Silence. Nude and tortured with memories Tadanobu Asano. Nudity goes well with silence and early morning fog.
